Yes, quack.
Okay, so I’ve become a little obsessed with the most adorable duck in the world. Seriously. Check him out:

So, he’s called a Bufflehead duck. Some of you may have seen them around since they’re native to America. If you have, let me know, haha. They’re so cute.
Anyway, that’s enough fan-girling over a duck…
I haven’t updated in a few weeks since college has been sucking the life out of me. It’s been crazy! So much work to do, and it doesn’t help that my form tutor has been on my case constantly and making unnecessary sarcastic comments. It’s been driving me up the wall. I’ve also not had enough time for anything else I want to do, such as continuing to learn the guitar or writing.
I will hopefully be writing again soon, though! I’m going to once again be participating in NaNoWriMo and would love to know if anyone else is. I’d definitely like to be ‘writing buddies’ and have someone to chat to about NaNoWriMo.
I think that’s all! Hopefully I’ll be able to blog sometime soon again.
A few random questions:
1. What’s your favourite animal?
2. What’s your least favourite animal?
3. Will you be participating in this year’s NaNoWriMo? If not, is it because you don’t think you’re a good writer, don’t have the time or another reason?
So I aimed to update sooner than this, but all the homework and stuff I keep getting end up preventing me from doing so. Some people might say it’s stupid if you can’t find 30 minutes to update, but I also like to read through comments and return them and blog hop, so it ends up taking quite a while! But here I am.
I’ve also been busy thinking about the future! It’s so strange. Most people in my year have this idea of what they want to do and are off to University or a job next year, but me? I’ve had no real idea for a long time. One thing I really want to be is an author, but I’m not sure if that will ever happen or not, so I really need something else there. I don’t have a desire to go away to University because of loads of things that have happened in the past and the fact that we can’t afford it and I don’t want to come out in debt, so for a long time I’ve been feeling pretty confused. But I’ve finally decided! Through the Open University I’m (hopefully) going to study both Chemistry and English, because they interest me, and hopefully get a part-time job at the same time. That way I can study at my own pace, do other things, still get a degree, and even if I don’t ever use it in a job, it’ll still be some extra knowledge and skills that I will have gained.
I think distance-learning is an excellent thing that I’d already recommend to anyone who isn’t sure what they want to do in the future. Going away to University isn’t for everyone, and don’t ever feel pressured into it! One thing a lot of teachers at my Sixth Form seem to do is try and convince everyone that you’ll be nothing without Uni… it’s not true. You just need a goal.
Anyway! That’s about all that’s been going on in my life. Just studying and lots of thinking.
Some questions for you guys, inspired by what I was just typing about:
1. What will you be doing when you finish school? University or a job? Or are you completely unsure? (If you’ve already finished school, what are you doing? At Uni or working?)
2. What is your perfect career?
3. Are you a motivated person? Or does your motivation tend to abandon you?
Unoriginal title, because, well, I couldn’t think of anything else. But yes: I got my first guitar! It arrived on Friday and it’s just fabulous. It’s a Squier by Fender, acoustic, and wow. It’s fun! I’ve been learning some basics and all with the help of a bunch of friends online, which has been awesome. I played my first two chords last night and I was super proud. It really hurts my fingers though, and it’s kind of awkward getting used to the way I have to position my hand and stuff, but I feel like I’m doing quite well so far.
Just got to get used to it! Here’s a picture of it (haha, yes, that is me posing with it
).
So I go back to sixth form on Wednesday! It’s my final year, and then I’ll be unleashed on the world. Scary. I’m going to continue studying Chemistry, History and English Language and I’ve told myself that I have to really push myself this year and work hard! But I’m also going to try and not let this blog suffer, so hopefully I’ll still be blogging weekly. It might take me a little while to reply to any comments, but I will.
I expect a lot of you have gone back to school/college by now? How is it going? Are you enjoying it or wishing you could have some more time off already?
I’m not sure what else to blog about right now! So I’ll just leave you with a few questions.
I do love hearing what other people have to say, reading comments and replying really brightens my day!
1. What’s a lyric from a song that really means something to you and why?
2. What song could you have on repeat for hours without it annoying you?

My first novel: self-edited and self-published. A romantic tale that doesn't profess to be mind-blowing - just a good, fun and easy read.

Jigglypuff clay charm.
Poliwag clay charm.
