Absenteeism

Yup, I’ve been suffering from absenteeism! I can’t believe I haven’t updated in nearly two months! I don’t really have a big excuse, I knew I needed to update, but I just couldn’t bring myself to it. I guess I needed a bit of a break.

It’s been a pretty busy time. I finished my exams, then we were still in college until the middle of July, so I still had work to do ready for my final year which starts in September! In the last week of term I helped out with some activities days they hold at my school for the lower years, which was fun. :)

Quite a bit has happened in the world in the past few months… of course, Michael Jackson’s passing, which was very sad, I’ve been a fan of his music for so long, and never believed the rumours about him! It sort of made me think of the fragility of life, so I’ve been taking some time to get things done and not waste time. I took up jogging as well, and it’s really helping me to feel better about life and myself! I definitely recommend getting out there for a short while each day and being active. :D

Oh, and argghhh, at the start of July my phone just went… kaput. Gone. Wouldn’t switch on or anything. Sent it back to Sony Ericsson for repairs… Took ages to actually find out the status of it, but FINALLY got it back fixed (they replaced the main board), but without the battery I’d sent with it. So then I had to wait for them to send another battery, and then put it in, switched the phone on… It worked! But THEN found out it wouldn’t accept my SIM card (my phone clearly says on the front it’s a Vodafone phone, but obviously the main board or something hadn’t been locked to Vodafone or left unlocked or whatever, haha, so my SIM card was ‘incorrect’), and I didn’t want to do anything that might void my warranty, so once again, I sent it back. Didn’t hear anything about it for almost a week and was like, hello, where the heck is my phone and what are you doing with it? Miraculously, the next day, I was told the phone had been received and was being repaired, and I finally got it back again this morning! Sony Ericsson’s customer service via email and phone are excellent… but their repair centre, which is like a different company I guess, is absolutely useless. But yeesh, at least I finally got it back after like a month!

Has anything much been happening to you guys? I’d love to hear some interesting stories. :)

Wow! Seems like a lot is happening! The only thing interesting in my life is that we’re going to Ottawa tomorrow for 3 days. We’re going for a family vacation but we’re also going to see my dad’s friend who is unfortunately dying of cancer. :(

Thanks for the comment! That’s good that you’re taking a break from your site, it’s important not to get to carried away with one specific thing. It’ll always be here when you’re ready ;)

You’ve obviously heard what happened in my life recently, lol.

I’ve had a lot of phone problems in my time. I can’t seem to make one last a year. It’s not that I’m hard on them or anything, technology just doesn’t like me. And I actually had a Sony Ericsson one, really liked it, but it kept messing up, not recieving calls and stuff. I got the phone replaced, and the next one of the same model did the same thing. So although I love the look of their phones, I just don’t want to deal with the complications.

I love your smileys! I thought I’d say that first before I forget [ : haha

No no no not the original. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the original Italian Job. I just LOVE Mark Wahlberg and Jason Statham. They’re making The Brazilian Job! But that’s been in the works for like over 5 years so I don’t know if it’s actually going to come out, haha.

    You go to Italy and you want to eat PIZZA ?! I’d get the freshest and most delicious and authentic tiramisu around! haha. I’m more of a sweeeet tooth [ ;

Wow 2 months! Did you just wake up one morning and realize HEY I haven’t blogged in over 2 months ! lol. Well welcome back anyways! I see that you still have your adorable layout. I love it so so much !

     :music: :blink2:
I love those smilies the most, hahahaha.

I’ve read a couple blogs centered about cell phone complaints. Just do what I do: get the junkiest phone out there and just deal. lol, or get a nice expensive flashy one that’s a lot of fun to have ~

Aww thanks! Glad you like it.

Yeah, they were planning on making us go inside for a while but we would much rather be out in the rain so eventually they let us – after a lot of persuasion. Hehe.

Ugh sounds like the repair centre was really bad, but at least you got it back and fixed in the end.

    Cute layout btw! XD
