Unoriginal title, because, well, I couldn’t think of anything else. But yes: I got my first guitar! It arrived on Friday and it’s just fabulous. It’s a Squier by Fender, acoustic, and wow. It’s fun! I’ve been learning some basics and all with the help of a bunch of friends online, which has been awesome. I played my first two chords last night and I was super proud. It really hurts my fingers though, and it’s kind of awkward getting used to the way I have to position my hand and stuff, but I feel like I’m doing quite well so far. Just got to get used to it! Here’s a picture of it (haha, yes, that is me posing with it ).

So I go back to sixth form on Wednesday! It’s my final year, and then I’ll be unleashed on the world. Scary. I’m going to continue studying Chemistry, History and English Language and I’ve told myself that I have to really push myself this year and work hard! But I’m also going to try and not let this blog suffer, so hopefully I’ll still be blogging weekly. It might take me a little while to reply to any comments, but I will.

I expect a lot of you have gone back to school/college by now? How is it going? Are you enjoying it or wishing you could have some more time off already?

Yes, The Time Traveler’s Wife. In my opinion, it’s a very good movie!

I went to see it when I was staying with some friends last week and I really enjoyed it. I’ve read the book and I really liked that, and I thought the film was true to the story. Yeah, it missed a few parts out but on the whole it was very good. The acting was really good and very moving in places. Has anyone else seen it or any other good movies recently?

My holidays are over soon! In less than two weeks, eep! Then back to finish my last year of 6th Form. Going to have to work super hard, I know it! Oh well, I’m pretty well prepared, haha. And while I’m on the topic of school and all that, I got my exam results! I got an A in English Language, an A in English Literature (and full marks on the exam… I was like ‘what the hell!’), a C in History and an E in Chemistry (I’m going to retake the exams next year probably… other people in my class had done the same or worse so I don’t know what went wrong! ). Overall I’m happy with my results.
